“Any activity of a European or partly European company in Western Sahara is poaching,” says Gilles Devers. The judgment of the EU Court of Justice is clear and goes beyond the agricultural agreement. Moreover, the importation of products from the Saharawi territory, formerly a Spanish colony, for the European market is also illegal. The Court reiterates that this territory remains a non-self-governing territory pending a self-determination.
