Summary:
This issue of the multidisciplinary journal L’Ouest saharien highlights the environmental issue. It addresses both the problem of the conservation of endangered marine species in the Banc d’Arguin National Park and the management of fresh water threatened by gold panning in Chami. It also covers competitions around the region’s natural resources, European Union-Morocco fisheries agreements, the tourism economy, climate change and its impact on food security.
